I left the kids playing in the front yard while I came in to get something this afternoon. When I went back out I engaged in the following conversation with my youngest:
Youngest: Scooby was in the middle of the street when a car turned onto the street, so I ran out to rescue him.
Me: Um. Next time you need to let Scooby fend for himself and get yourself out of the street.
Youngest: But Mom, he's
family! And the car had
just turned onto the street.…

I think baby steps is the thing to do, being a vegetarian is no problem, I will just have to take baby steps as far as veganism and all their friends eat meat and of course sugar which one of my children as a severe reaction when eating sugar so we have agreed after this last flare up after eating sugar that they will not be eating any form of sugar. Pam, Thanks again for all your help.

The title vegan bothers them, ice cream, yogurt, cheese, sour cream all dairy product, fish, shrimp etc... they want to eat, they can do without red meat or chicken I show them the video on meet your meat and posted it on my website at www.gotimmunocal.com, in the video section and one look at that and they agreed no more meat, no problem! I made a vegetarian lasange to substitute my famous chicken lasange and they loved it, but they would miss that if they were vegan. My daughter is an aspiring fashion designer and loves silk, leather but would never use animal fur, They don't want to be associated with animal rights activists or labeled vegan.. They think when you become vegan you look weird and creepy not healthy so I took them through pictures' of vegan's who look very healthy like Tobey Maguire (Spiderman), River Phoenix, Summer Phoenix, Natalie Portman, Alicia Silverstone etc.. This is the thing they have finally adjusted to rice milk and almond milk but they don't like it they hate tofu no soy, so we are eating vegetables and fruits, raw almonds, beans etc.. it has been extremely hard because I want to be a sugarless vegan as you may know sugar shuts down the immune system and I really want them to be healthy, so no sugar is my policy they say no matter what they say or how they feel they have to do what I say (my 12 year old), so as you can see we have a couple of things going on that they are not happy about. very very difficult!

That's great that you are raising your littles vegan! Mine are vegan when with me (1/2 the time) and not vegan (or vegetarian) when with their mom (gets a little confusing....
Peace,
Joe
