“Illegal tortoise trade is happening in Britain” (DEFRA, 2004). An estimated 10 million tortoises were shipped into the UK for the pet trade between 1890 and 1984 before the initial ban was introduced. This trade is back! Many of the tortoises that are entering the UK are dying within months, some just days. Please help by signing the below petition, or to help further, please download the paper petition and ask your friends, family & work colleagues to sign. We have started to make good contacts with government officials and need to gain signaures as quickly as possible.

hey! well i saw your site and i really like it and support what your doing, i live in cancun mexico, and i help to protect this beautiful animals we take care of the eggs and help tha little babies to be free when they born.. i know it's not much but i try so hard to make this world and the people different..
