- What of me... I am first and foremost, Kylie, my 7 year old daughter's Mommie. She is what makes the world right for me, even if in it's current situation it doesn't. I am the saver of the "lost cause" as can attest my shelter dog, Jackson, and my Taco John's adopted cat, Mystery. I live in the a conservative RED State of South Dakota, so a down trodden fight is always easy to find, especially if you are a vegetarian, human & animal rights advocate, tree hugger, pro-choicer that also protests War. My husband of 20 years is the best tolerator of my causes (most of the time).
I love hiking and exploring nature. I marvel to find peace, the simplest things, the sun shining on my face.
In this community I have found home and acceptance! Namaste!

Sacrifice in the name of compromise
Today is one of the over the top days that I would like to scream. Dealing with constant hunting stories, mountain lion's season in the Black Hills, the deluge of cattle trucks I see full and empty every day and living with meat eaters is over the top to an emotional explosion. With every story and witness to the horror of the animal sacrifice is taking a huge toll on my vegetarian wellbeing.

Not enough of the site membership is participating in this vital forum. WE NEED YOUR INPUT NOW! Please join in the creative group brainstorming & weigh in with your constructive feedback. We need to breathe new life into the site name change discussion, it's getting stale in there (no offense intended to the pro-active members who are graciously & actively brainstorming ~ it's simply that we need some new blood in the mix to open up the discussion more.) Come submit some fresh ideas! ... Otherwise we'll be stuck with a URL that makes us sound like a veggie dating site... yikes!
Please do your part to help get the word out ~ send a message to all your friends here at funveg! (Or whatever the heck our name is...!) We're solid in our identity as a thriving new community... we just haven't figured out what to call ourselves yet!
