FRIDAY DECEMBER 7:
DEMONSTRATION AT LOUISIANA RESTAURANT
The executive chef at Tersiguel's set a compassionate example last Saturday when he agreed to drop
foie gras from his menu (see campaign update below). Now it's time for Louisiana Restaurant to follow suit!
Please join BARC at Louisiana Restaurant on Friday December 7. Before demonstrating, we will attempt to meet with restaurant management and convince them to sign a pledge to take foie gras off of their menu. We need people to come out and show visible support for ducks and geese, whether or not we need to have a full-fledged demonstration, so please come join us!
When: Friday, December 7, 7:00pm
Where: Louisiana Restaurant, 1708 Aliceanna Street, Baltimore, MD 21231
More Information about this issue: www.DoNotEatHere.org, www.NoFoieGras.org
Stay tuned for next weekend's actions pending the result of this Friday's action!

FOIE GRAS CAMPAIGN UPDATE: TERSIGUEL'S AGREES TO DROP CRUEL DELICACY!
Victory for ducks and geese! Authentic French restaurant drops foie gras!
BARC met with executive chef Michel Tersiguel of Tersiguel's French Country Restaurant on Saturday afternoon to discuss foie gras, the controversial item that we hoped would be removed from the menu. After a thoughtful discussion and a review of materials, Michel Tersiguel agreed to stop serving the pricey pâté once his existing stock runs dry. BARC applauds Tersiguel for his ethical decision and hopes that other restaurateurs will follow.
Thank you letters to Tersiguel's are appreciated and can be sent to:

FEATURING: EARTHSAVE BALTIMORE!
When it comes to our environment, our health, and the well-being of our fellow Earthlings, the fork is mightier
than the sword. EarthSave Baltimore is a volunteer-run organization that raises awareness of the whys and hows of whole food, plant-centered eating in the Baltimore area. Every month, EarthSave hosts a vegan potluck dinner in Owings Mills, featuring a different educational component each month. On Saturday, December 8, Holistic Health Practitioner Cindy Blum will deliver a lecture and cooking demonstration, "Tips from Cindy's Natural Kitchen." Find all the details and how to RSVP at http://baltimore.earthsave.org/.
EarthSave Baltimore coordinator Don Robertson also heads up the Baltimore Vegetarian and Vegan Meet-up groups through Meetup.com (http://vegetarian.meetup.com/9/ and http://vegan.meetup.com/29/). Groups meet once a month to enjoy vegetarian/vegan food and informal discussion. Meetups are open to everyone, especially new people!
