Vegans & Vegetarians making a difference!
I am happy to report that today I walked my talk! Yesterday I announced that my plan for today was to have a smoothie for breakfast and take a long walk. I accomplished both! This is Day 1 of my training plan for the Surf City Half Marathon which will take place on February 3, 2008. This gives me 10 weeks to prepare myself...which is no small feat considering how out of shape I am now. Today I walked at a moderate pace (approx 3 mph) for 30 mins so I covered approximately 1.5 miles. And then I stretched for 5-10 mins.
I am following Hal Higdon's Half Marathon Training Guide for Walkers.
Check it out....I used it to prepare for the same race last February and it worked great!
