Hope these resources are helpful.

Food of Bodhisattvas - Buddhist Teachings on Abstaining from Meat
Author Shabkar Tsogdruk Rangdrol (1781-1851)

This is a gem of a book about refraining from the consumption of meat. It was written over a hundred years ago by a great Tibetan Buddhist Yogi and master who taught that eating meat was wrong and against Buddhist principles. Shabkar was a strict vegetarian, which was very rare in Tibet and still is quite rare. Growing veggies in the harsh climate is next to impossible. But, it is rare in regards to Western Tibetan Buddhism also. This is something the book directly addresses.

The book is divided into two parts. The first part, The Faults of Eating Meat is a collection of teachings from Buddhist Sutras and Tantras from Indian and Tibetan masters on the reasons one should not eat meat. This part is a compilation which is extracted from a larger work and lacks the voice of Shabkar.

The second part, The Nectar of Immortality is an essay written by Shabkar about reasons for abstaining from the flesh of animals. His voice comes to the surface and his arguments work directly from the ground of Tibetan Buddhist teachings. He pulls down many of the arguments which are put for by Buddhists.

Does matter make consciousness or does consciousness make matter?

Seems like a simple question. Science already tells us that matter makes consciousness but some quantum physicists are saying that it is time to consider the opposite view point. They are saying that there is experimental evidence that there is perhaps a transendant domain.
